Insta-Friday Autumn Edition

Loving autumn, as always.
Perfect weather this week.
Love the colors.

Goodwill visit.
It has been a loooooong time.

Because it is the perfect weather.

But I found awesome jewelry there.


Sleeping more.
That is the one thing I dislike about autumn.
Never enough hours in the day.
And even less in autumn, with sleeping more.


I am grateful though.
The kids sleep more.
Meaning-I can too.

Because our washer is broke.


On the hunt for a nice front loader.

Pink Saturday ~ Hello Kitty Rain Boots

We like to explore the great outdoors and rain boots are a must! These Hello Kitty Rain Boots (bought at Target) are the perfect combination of light pink and hot pink (as I call it).


Love Bug was very excited to try out the new pink boots too! I also love her dress! It has cute little kittens and puppies with pink hats on it. So fun, especially for a little girl that loves animals!

Pink Saturday ~ Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers that come across this post, including my mom!

I became a mother over six years ago to a son, Lizard Man and two years ago today, to a beautiful little girl, Love Bug.


It is hard to believe that my baby girl is TWO today! Here she is in PINK!





Happy 2nd Birthday to Love Bug, the most amazing little girl EVER!



I have one of the best jobs in the world!

Pink Saturday ~ A New Favorite!

Hyacinths are a new favorite flower of mine! I got a waft of their sweet scent while working in the garden and I almost thought the lilacs (which ARE my favorite flower, by the way) were blooming for a moment. Hyacinths smell so great!


And aren’t they beautiful too?

Swirls of Creativity’s Purple Thursday ~ Easter

Last Easter Love Bug was almost a year old...


I had fun changing a few of last years Easter photos with a purple-gray glaze…






It is hard to believe Love Bug will be two in exactly a month! This year I’m sure Love Bug will open each Easter egg up quickly and gobble up the sweets inside compared to last years playing with the eggs and not realizing goodies were inside.

Swirls of Creativity's Purple Thursday!

Wow! The time sure has flown by for me over the past few weeks. I’ve been busy with a lot of things, but I mainly haven’t written many blog posts because the mouse I use for my computer is DEAD. I’ve been using Word Geek’s laptop, and figured I better get a post written, because I don’t want people to think that I’m dead like my mouse.

What mouse should I buy? That is a good question. It takes me FOREVER to decide on what to buy when it is something that’s brand new and has a bit of cost involved.

My mouse that is dead is actually newer than my old computer, but has been dropped too many times to count by Love Bug and even myself a few times. ;) The cord going into the mouse is what had some problems that resulted in it dying, so I am leaning towards a cordless mouse. I don’t have a traditional computer desk. And that is probably also why my mouse died as it didn’t have a lot of space next to the keyboard. But I love my desk. It is an old student desk from a college that Word Geek rescued for me. Dumpster diving at its best! I still call it dumpster diving even though Word Geek didn’t have to dive into an actual dumpster for it. He did save it from the landfill with a little nudge from me! I’ve had the desk for a long time, almost as long as Word Geek himself.

Hmm, back to the topic at hand, the cordless mouse. Does anyone have any mouse suggestions? Good or bad?

I never seem to get tired of the color purple.

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. I am going to host a day for posting about the beautiful color purple. It is by far my favorite color. So, today is the day! Blue Monday-Blue…not just for boys!!

I haven’t taken any photos with blue in them lately. So I will backtrack to October when we went on walks more frequently.


On this particular walk we went to the post office where Love Bug was called a boy and for good reason. She was dressed all in blue!


I don’t correct people that I don’t know on the gender of our daughter when they are wrong. Really it doesn’t bother me much. I just figure they may know a baby that is a boy and that is why Love Bug gets called a boy.


Really, even though Love Bug was dressed in blue, it wasn’t like they were boy’s clothes. The jean jacket has a heart on the back. And the super soft pants have a lace pattern on the bottom of them and just happen to match her lace pattered shoes too!!

Pink Saturday-Praying or Playing?

It amazes me how kids grow up so fast and just look so different in a year or two, or even a month or two. I love to look at photos and just reminisce sometimes and I started looking at photos of Love Bug that are already almost a year old. These photos are almost a year to the exact date, actually the 23rd. Here she is pretty in pink and looks a lot different than the ones I posted last Saturday!

The Aqua 'n Red Fall Swap Package I Received!

I had so much fun participating in the Aqua 'n Red Fall Swap hosted by wonderful Selena and Sara. Thank you so much ladies for hosting such an awesome swap!


I was partnered up with Katia from Mille Idee in una Tazza who is from Italy!!! I’m so happy I have had the pleasure of getting to know Katia.

I received my package a few of days ago and this is the awesome goodies I found in it…

These beautiful vintage dishes that are made in Italy! I love, love, love these! Katia knew that I loved vintage stuff and this sure hit the spot! ;)


Jewelry!!! Katia made this beautiful jewelry set for me!


Can I use the same phrase twice!? I love, love, love these!




Plus they came in a fun bag that Katia made herself!!


A fun "kitty-cat" (as I always say to Love Bug) since we have a big "kitty-cat" at our house…anyhow this is a super fun salt shaker made of wood and has a magnet on it!


Yummy sweet chocolate candy! Ahhh, I loooove sweets!


And the funky and fun fabric is great! I can’t wait to include it in a project!

My package was rounded out with a heartfelt letter and Christmas card! Thank you so much Katia for everything!!! I’d love to do another swap with you anytime!
