Baby Bump.

Hubby took a few photos of me at the park earlier this week.

I didn’t plan on having any photos of myself taken that day.

So you get plain old me.

No makeup.

No jewelry.

No blue hair,

nor rainbow.

And this is me on most days...nowadays.

But I thought…

“What if I don’t get one photo with the kiddos and this baby bump, together??”

So, this is the best with all three four kiddos.

It is hard to get Dashiell to hold still these days.

Such a busy 2-year old!

30 Things To Do Before I Turn 31

I have found over the years
I am good at accomplishing
goals if they are specific
goals, not the general goals
of most New Year’s Resolutions.



I started this list I think
in October, talk about
procrastination (something
I tend to do sometimes) and
have finally finished it!



I turn 31 on April 14th.



NOTE: Items in bold I've finished!



1. Write on my blogs each week
2. Make menu buttons on my blogs (Hey, I got this one checked off my list already! Nothing wrong with that, right!? Because my birthday is already less than 3 months away, started this list kind of late though, eh!?)
3. Open my Eco-friendly Etsy Shop
4. Make a piece of jewelry for me, the kids, and…
5. Enter a photography contest, or two, or three
6. Find & write one of my favorite teachers and tell them how glad I was to have them as my teacher
7. Serve with Joy
8. Keep an art journal again!
9. Lift weights weekly
10. Learn how and do our taxes
11. Read and FINISH a book
12. Learn to sew better and sew something!
13. Have a giveaway on my blog
14. Read the Bible daily
15. Design, create, and list new items for My Etsy Shop/s
16. Make handmade Christmas gifts (Did this as well! Need to show some of them on here sometime)
17. Design and make my business cards
18. Work on listing/selling some of my photos online
19. Put many items in My Etsy Shop/s to build a clean water well in Africa (That is $5,000+ to raise!)
20. Send a surprise package to a friend
21. Start “e”’s 52 Questions (love, love, love her blog btw!)
22. Read my camera’s manual
23. Visit an art museum (It has been too long!)
24. Learn to crochet better and crochet something!
25. Learn the difference between crocheting and knitting
26. Get a record player and play some records
27. Paint a surprise painting for Lizard Man for his 7th birthday (will do the same for Love Bug, but her birthday is after mine and so I’ll put it on my list “31 Things to Do Before I turn 32”)
28. Transfer all photos from our old laptop to desktop and burn all digital photos on DVD’s for backup
29. Photograph myself/have someone take more photos of me with/without the kids/Word Geek
She Left Proof (one photo below of ME already! It was a little bright out, so you can't see my eyes much, maybe next time...)
30. Focus more on the positive by relying on Jesus, pray more! And tell others!


As you can see, these goals were about



ME, ME, ME.






However, I love making goals
and lists, so I do/will have
more lists that include goals
as a family.



I made for the second year in
a row our Great Green Goals .



I plan to list some other
goals we have as a family
here soon!

Well, I can't help but think of the tune from that song when I think of my Sigg...

“My Sigg, My Sigg,

My Sigg holds one liter (approximately 33 ounces) of refreshing water. This photo shows how big it is compared to Lizard Man, he is six years old.

Happy birthday to me!


I'm the big 3-0 today!
I still feel young and I'm hoping that won't change for quite a few more birthdays.
I feel I have a lot more to accomplish in my life.

1. I love photography and have loved taking photos since I was a kid!
2. I’m a night owl and over time have become more of an insomniac!
3. I can’t fall asleep if my feet are cold!
4. I love spending time outdoors even in the winter!
5. I grew up on a goat farm!
6. I would love to live on an acreage someday!
7. I don’t watch “t.v.” at all…I do love watching t.v. shows and movies though on dvd!
8. My eight year old nephew died over four years ago and I still miss him!
9. I love going to garage sales!
10. I had our son Lizard Man on April Fools Day, but he didn’t fool us!
11. My birthday is four days before my husband Word Geek’s birthday, and 2 weeks and one day after Lizard Man’s birthday! April is a fun month for us! Our daughter Love Bug’s birthday is in May, although her first due date was the end of April!?
12. Word Geek is my best friend!
13. Word Geek is a teacher, and we homeschool Lizard Man, some think it is odd, but it is only logical! We will homeschool Love Bug too!
14. I love being able to stay at home with Lizard Man and Love Bug, they amaze me every day!
15. I love doing anything creative!
16. I started a small business last year: http://swirlsofcreativity.etsy.com I am still in the beginning stages and I will be adding more things to my shop soon!
17. I think caves are amazing and my first memory of spelunking was while I was pregnant with Lizard Man!
18. I love going camping, hiking, and fishing!
19. I started delivering newspapers in my neighborhood last year and I love it!
20. I am a green freak when it comes to taking care of our environment! I believe in reducing, reusing, and recycling!
21. My baptism birthday is on earth day and I love to celebrate both which is on April 22nd every year!
22. When traveling I love to look at the license plates to see what counties/states people are from!
23. I love reading, learning, and teaching!
24. I once dyed my hair purple and would love to do it again! Is it any wonder my favorite color is purple!?
25. And in case you haven’t noticed, I love using exclamation marks when I write!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And sometimes it gets on my English teacher/husband’s nerves!!!!!!!!!! ;)
